BREAKING STEREOTYPE AND FORGING FRIENDSHIPS!

French School Jakarta (FSJ) commenced its second year of a partnership program with Roshan Learning Centre (RLC) with students in their LV class undertaking a lesson in inclusion and diversity through role play with an aim to debunk stereotyping.
The partnership, led by Ms. Kenward from FSJ, found the programme to be a ‘valuable if not essential aspect of support and enrichment for FSJ’s student engagement and learning’. The activities are evidence for helping learners forge a connection and generating friendships. It’s about inclusive community building and providing opportunities for students both in FSJ and RLC to get engaged with each other regardless of their background or ability.
This partnership was established to help improve access of RLC students in science, sports, art, and language. It aims to deliver thoughtfully designed classes to complement RLC’s curriculum and for FSJ students to forge connections with RLC students that come from a very diverse community.
