Mathematics Week
March 20, 2024
–

A ministerial initiative aimed at promoting a modern, dynamic, and engaging image of mathematics, Mathematics Week took place at LIFE School from March 13 to 20, in line with celebrations held in many schools, middle schools, and high schools across France and around the world.
As part of the event, on Wednesday, March 13, Cycle 2 students teamed up in mixed groups of CP, CE1, and CE2 to take on eight math challenges in a rally format across different areas of the school (classrooms, outdoor spaces, library). They worked on problems, number games, mass and length measurements, logic exercises, and identifying geometric shapes.
To encourage collaboration among students, rewards were not given only to the teams with the highest scores in the eight challenges, but rather based on the total points accumulated by all 16 participating teams. The morning concluded on a joyful note, with each class in the cycle receiving a reward.
Well done to all our budding mathematicians!
