In the French education system, the Vie Scolaire is a dedicated department that supports the day-to-day running of the school and oversees student life outside the classroom. It is staffed by administrative and educational personnel who contribute to students’ well-being, safety and supervision throughout the school day.

The Vie Scolaire team plays an important role in managing student life beyond teaching and learning, while supporting students in their daily school experience.

This department composed of a team of educational assistants and runs under the supervision of the Secondary School Education Advisor (CPE) and they provide support to students in the following ways :

  1. Supervise and monitor students during school hours : 
  • School entrances and exits
  • Throughout the school day (transition periods between classes, recess, etc)
  • The lunch period
  • Study sessions
  • School trips and outings

  1. Acts as the central hub to track students presence at the school (absences and lateness)

  2. Acts as mediator when conflicts arise between students and focused on the holistic development and emotional health of the students

  3. Ensure the individual and collective educational needs follow-up of students in liaison and collaboration with teachers

  4. Participate in supporting educational teams (reception, supervision, and monitoring) and assist with educational and training initiatives aimed at students.

The Vie Scolaire team contributes to the overall operation of French School Jakarta as part of its educational supervision mission and serves as the primary point of contact for parents regarding all matters related to their children’s schooling. As such, it provides welcoming, informational, and advisory support for both parents and students.
